Tautes Heim
Situated at the UNESCO-protected horseshoe estate Tautes Heim offers a rare opportunity to experience the architecture and design of the `Golden Twenties` with its completely restored and furnished Modernist interior. The distinctive, white building, designed by architect Bruno Taut, has its own 200sqm front lawn, and is located in a quiet suburban area of Neukölln, close to the U7 subway line. The interior has been carefully conserved, with hand-picked original furnishings and fittings from the 1930s, together with modern facilities and amenities such as free WiFi. The house comprises of a living area with sofa and dining table, a main bedroom with large double bed and writer`s desk, a second bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. So that you don`t forget the building`s history, owners Katrin Lesser and Ben Buschfeld reveal a small patch from the former walls in each room, and there is also a timeline illustrating the building’s renovation in the basement.
